Today both of our dogs were in “bed” and sound asleep before I was!  I work third shift so I’m up all night and sleep all day and both of my girls were sawing logs before I was!  Well we’d better go get ready for work (the girls like to “help”).  Talk to you all in the morning!

Before we adopted Laci from the Green County Humane Society all Shawna pretty much did was sleep all day.  Oh sure she’d get up and get some water and eat something.  And of course there were the occasional potty breaks, but she spent at LEAST 80% of her day sleeping!  We brought Laci home and it’s been a whole new ball game.  Shawna WANTS to go for walks now.  She hasn’t WANTED to go for a walk for a very long time.  She still sleeps a bunch but it’s not near as much as before Laci.  I can hardly wait to see what she’s like once the Gluecose starts doing its thing!  So Thank You Laci for bringing us back our dog!  Oh and by the way as much as we love you you’ll always be The Princess and Shawna will always be The Queen!

P.S. I can’t believe how “easy” we got off with the whole arthritis/gluecose thing!  Lab’s and Cockers are prone to hip problems and Shawna was 19 before the vet actually suggested we start giving her gluecose cause she was starting to look a little stiff.

Laci our extremely lovable, extremely spoiled Cocker Spaniel is afraid of stairs.  She won’t go up or down the stairs that we have in our house.  We’re not sure if it’s a matter of them being too steep for her or if she’s never had to climb stairs before or if she’s just flat out afraid of stairs.

Yesterday Laci and Shawna went to the groomers.  Laci got her “Cocker Cut” cleaned up….It was looking a little bit rough and grown out since her last appointment.  Shawna on the other hand just got her monthly manicure/pedicure.

• I too was adopted out of the Green County Humane Society about 16 years ago
• I’m a 19 1/2 year old Black Lab/Cocker Spaniel Mix (my people have me on medicine for my arthirtis)
• I love to ride in the car but because of my age it’s a little hard on my joints
• I’ve adopted Laci’s habit of barking at everything
• I love going for walks again since my people brought home Laci
• I sleep on the couch
• I snore really really loud also
• I have ticklish paws
• I am The Queen

Laci and Shawna here! Just wanted to say hi to all of our reader out there! Our blog is being written by our big sister Jamie (AKA Human). Laci is the short little blonde cutie and Shawna is the midsized black haired cutie. Shawna is “The Queen” and Laci is “The Princess.”
